Two Delegates from the eight [8] ANKC Member Bodies. The Delegates are usually the Member Body’s President and a Vice President or a Committee Member. The Delegates meet once a year - the third weekend of October.
There is a maximum of eleven [11] Votes at ANKC Council Meetings made up of Two [2] votes for Member Bodies representing in excess of 10% of the total membership of the Member Bodies [DOGS QUEENSLAND, DOGS NSW and DOGS VICTORIA] and one [1] vote for each Member Body representing 10% or less of the total membership [DOGS ACT, DOGS WEST, DOGS NT, DOGS SA and TCA].
ANKC Committee
There are several Committees working under the ANKC Council. These Committees meet usually at the same time as the Delegates and whenever required by Confer Link.
There is a Charter for each ANKC Committee that the Committee is required to work within. The Voting for Committees is the same as for Delegates when there is a representative from each ANKC Member Body; otherwise it is one Vote per person attending the Meeting.
ANKC Working Parties
The Working Parties manage a considerable amount of the day-to-day work that occurs between meetings that is not dealt with by the Administrator. The majority of this work is completed via Facsimile, Telephone ConferLink or E-Mail.
